M2G Designs we’re a small company started by two sisters living in different countries, working with care and pride to create original gifts. The design idea was originally inspired by the vibrant art and wall hangings following a trip to Botswana. Michelle graduated from Limerick college of Art and Design, and the Moira from the Cork College of Fashion Design during the 90’s.

As a creative team we make it possible to give a gift individually crafted for your child.

M2G Designs are inspired by simple themes and experiences that children encounter daily, like transport, construction sites, wobbly teeth… and more. We also personalise our products.

I am a mother, an artist, …the list goes on, of that I’m sure.

I have traversed the globe since 1997. First stop was Botswana…(Where in the world is that) Just above South Africa…A little known democratic, peaceful country about the size of France. I taught art there for 4 years, met my husband and decided it was too much of a commute!

Then together we went from The Czech Republic to Hungary..baby number 1 (T)… ..back to The Czech Republic..baby number 2 (G).. …now we live in South Korea…Seoul…

First impressions…huge…the biggest most populated place I have ever lived…but then again I am from a village in The Glen of Aherlow, Tipperary, Ireland…And yes it’s a “long way to Tipperary”

I’m a designer, mother of two. K is 7, E is 5  and number 3 (Thumper) is due in a few weeks.

We currently live in The Hague, the Netherlands.  I too have lived in a few different countries,  (England, Belgium, Luxembourg, France) but have not yet lived outside Europe. Its on my to do list!

After adjusting to living in the Netherlands, (despite the image of a liberal society, the Dutch are very conservative people), M2G Designs was born.  I enjoy life here, and because of the people I’ve met and organisations I’ve joined (Unicef, Womens Business Initiative International), I too can add my bit to our blog.

Our design aim

We brighten childrens rooms around the world with our art work. Our designs are individual pieces of colourful wall decor for children. They are fun, colourful, educational pieces, individually crafted. Colours make people feel happy, we spread that feeling, and help you colour your childs’ world.

Colour is vital for children, and creative use of color is fundamental to our designs. M2G Designs aims to colour your child’s world.
